The Old Simco

My old friend - the Simco Saddle. My favorite ride, the most comfortable for trail. And with the endurance stirrups, well, you could ride a long while. But, with the horses finding a new home, there won't be much use for it, so time to sell it.

Doesn't do me much good sitting around.

It needs a good spring cleaning, like always. Just dust, even though its been covered up. I'll get out the Leather Mate, give it a once over. Then it will shine once again, be as beautiful, as it is comfortable.

Maybe so long, my old friend. I'll miss that smell, and that ride, when the time comes.

The Kitty Pounce

During a very brief ray of sunshine, the cats found time to pounce one another. Then the clouds came back and they didn't "feel like pouncing" any more.

Felt like a Monday all over again.

Cracks, Crevices & Daffodils

This morning, the greenery was coming out all over the place.
My favorite little fern is only about 3 inches, growing out of the rocks at the steps just off the driveway.
All winter long, through snow and ice, it was always there to greet us.

Those little things..

Today, we took a little drive. The opportunity to capture the little tree and the lovely shed presented itself...and I took it!

First Day of Spring Greenery

Walking around this morning, looking for new growth peeking out from winter.

It's the little things...

Look all around - it's the little things that capture my eye. The everyday things that nobody may pay attention to.

One of my favorite things to do is go on a "photo walk" and capture what the day is like, things we see everyday that change; greenery, animals, familiar surroundings, birds, seasons.

This winter seemed long and arduous. The winter that stayed. The snow that stayed.

There are a couple of things I'll be capturing soon that I've looked at all winter, but never stopped to take a picture of:  the perfect little blue spruce on the way to school, the cool little tool shed with old tools, barbed-wire fencing wound in a little circle, rakes, hoes, and one of those rusted stars, all hung on the outside.

I love that little shed.

These are some of the "little things" I enjoy looking at every day on my way to take my daughter to school.
