Look all around - it's the little things that capture my eye. The everyday things that nobody may pay attention to.
One of my favorite things to do is go on a "photo walk" and capture what the day is like, things we see everyday that change; greenery, animals, familiar surroundings, birds, seasons.
This winter seemed long and arduous. The winter that stayed. The snow that stayed.
There are a couple of things I'll be capturing soon that I've looked at all winter, but never stopped to take a picture of: the perfect little blue spruce on the way to school, the cool little tool shed with old tools, barbed-wire fencing wound in a little circle, rakes, hoes, and one of those rusted stars, all hung on the outside.
I love that little shed.
I to love the little things - how the fog hangs over the ground, the water runs over the rocks going down a small stream, moss on rock formations, sunrises, sunsets, distinguished looking lonely trees standing in a field, old barns, covered bridges and even cloud formations. I love the sound of the tool shed, wish I had one in my area - sounds like a definite great picture. We are so blessed to able to see all these things and not just have to imagine what they look like or what a color is. We all need to slow down and enjoy more of the "little things". I have been going out walking and picking up pop cans - with the snow melting I have noticed we have very little respect for this planet or how we look, all the trash along the roads! Wish gas wasn't so expensive or my car was easier on it. Oh well, the little things. Slow down and enjoy the day and all it holds. God has blessed us in many ways we take for granted every day.
